Where it all started…
I’d been collecting for years, both in the US and in Germany. On my return back to the US from my first 8 years overseas, I authored the first Soldat book. Soldat Volume II is a sold-out classic now. I see it selling on line for ten or more times the original price. Back in Germany on my second tour there I published more Soldat books including the first volume on replicas I discovered being made there.
Years later I’m still working on creating books, Soldat as well as other venues. Soldat now has two formats, the original 6 x 9 and the new 8 ½ x 11 inches. All but one of the old format volumes were all printed ‘old school’ with print runs of several thousand books. A few of these books are available from Soldat FHQ the rest are out of print, available only from a used book merchant or other collectors. They are not formatted for on-demand printing like the new larger format volumes or my works in other areas. Books priced are available with autograph from Soldat FHQ.

Ignite the Nites 2021
Come rain and maybe get a little shine! That was the challenge for the 60th anniversary Ignite the Nights show in Libby, MT. With the Canadian border still closed, Mineral Avenue flowed with support from friends from stateside clubs as well as brave independents. Rain clouds threatened but held off for the Friday Night Cruise but poured Saturday morning as the street started to fill up. Rain water beaded on waxed fenders and hoots while umbrellas filled the streets. The rain broke about 11:00 and it was hard to tell what was brighter – smiles or the sun! Just under 300 cars were on the street by the time awards were handed out!
